Overview
The XP13000EH is DuroMax's high-wattage dual-fuel workhorse: a 500 cc engine producing 10,500 W running / 13,000 W peak on gasoline and 9,975 W / 12,350 W on propane, feeding a 120/240 V panel with a 14-50R, an L14-30R, an L5-30R, two GFCI 5-20R outlets, and a 12 V automotive plug. The CO Alert system shuts the engine down on CO buildup and blocks restart for five minutes. Runtime is 8 h at 50% (17 h at 25%) on gasoline, 6 h at 50% on a 40-lb propane tank. DuroMax markets it 'RV Ready', but the panel has no TT-30R and no receptacle is marketed as an RV receptacle — so RV outlet presence is honestly false here, exactly the marketing-vs-receptacle distinction the data policy requires. The 74 dB noise figure carries no load or distance basis and is excluded from comparative ranking.
Variant note: Not to be confused with the XP13000E (gasoline-only), XP13000HX/HXT (newer HX series), or DuroStar DS13000EH (sister brand).
Data note: rvOutletPresent=false despite the page's 'RV Ready: Yes' row — no TT-30R exists and no receptacle is marketed as an RV receptacle (RV use relies on L5-30R/L14-30R adapters); the marketing claim is preserved here per the conflict rule. Weight: page lists 'Product Dry Weight 234-lbs' AND 'Product Weight 248-lbs'; manual lists 246 lb without basis — the explicitly dry-labeled 234 lb (106.1 kg) used. Runtime conflicts with the sales sheet preserved. Remote start: page says Yes; the manual's spec table lists only 'Electric/Recoil' — page value used with the conflict noted. CARB: page explicitly 'CARB Certified: No / 50 State Compliant: No' despite the manual filename's EPA_CARB tag. THD not published; conventional AVR → sensitive-electronics suitability low. CSA/ETL and PGMA not mentioned — null.
Specifications
Running and starting watts are never collapsed; every runtime figure carries its fuel and load basis; THD is shown only when officially stated numerically. Core values' original claims and sources are in the provenance table. The final group is computed from the fields above and marked as derived.

Use cases
- Whole-panel home backup via transfer switch: 10,500 W running with a true 50 A 14-50R outlet
- Storm outages with dual-fuel flexibility (gasoline or 40-lb propane tanks)
- Jobsite power with GFCI 120 V outlets
- High-surge loads: 13,000 W peak
Cross-category fit flags (stored for future battery-vs-generator pages, not yet used for ranking): RV not suitable · camping not suitable · home backup suitable · apartment use: no · sensitive electronics: low · noise class: unknown.
Strengths and weaknesses
Strengths
- Highest output in this index (10,500 W running / 13,000 W peak)
- True 50 A 14-50R plus L14-30R for transfer-switch backup
- CO Alert auto-shutdown documented in the manual (with 5-minute restart lockout)
- Per-fuel watts and runtimes officially published
- Electric, recoil, and remote start; wheel/handle kit included
Weaknesses
- 'RV Ready' marketing without a TT-30R — RV use requires adapters
- Noise figure has no load or distance basis; no THD published (conventional unit)
- 106 kg dry — a two-person or ramp move
- Not CARB compliant / not 50-state (per DuroMax's own page)
- Multiple official weight figures (234 lb dry vs 246/248 lb) — dry figure used

High-Output Dual & Tri-Fuel Home-Backup Generators: DuroMax XP13000EH vs Westinghouse iGen11000TFc vs WGen9500DF vs Champion 201412 vs DuroMax XP9000iH vs Firman WT05571
Six high-output 120/240 V multi-fuel generators for whole-house backup through a transfer switch — 5,500–10,500 W running, dual- and tri-fuel, conventional and inverter. They separate on output, fuel flexibility, power quality (only the inverters offer clean THD), and one critical safety point: five have CO-shutdown, one documents that it does not.
