Overview
The RIVER 3 Plus (US model EF-RV-H02-1) is EcoFlow's step-up compact: a 286 Wh LFP pack (3,000 cycles to 80%+ SoH) feeding three AC outlets at 600 W continuous pure sine, with X-Boost running resistive loads to 1,200 W. Wall charging accepts 380 W for an official 0–100% in 60 minutes, and the solar input takes 220 W at 11–55 V. Unusually for this size, the manual documents a standby UPS with sub-10 ms transfer, and a wire-free Smart Extra Battery expands capacity to 858 Wh. It replaced the RIVER 2 Pro in this index because that model is sold out in all variants at the official US store.
Variant note: Standalone base RIVER 3 Plus (EF-RV-H02-1). NOT: RIVER 3 (245 Wh base), RIVER 3 Plus (270) (268 Wh variant in the same manual, not the US store SKU), RIVER 3 Plus Wireless (separate product), or RIVER 3 Max / Max Plus (bundle SKUs = RIVER 3 Plus + Extra Battery per official naming).
Data note: SUBSTITUTION: researched in place of the requested RIVER 2 Pro, whose official US page remains live ($349) but shows 'Sold out' with every variant unavailable as of 2026-07-05. RIVER 3 Plus is in stock ($279). X-Boost 1,200 W is not continuous and is unavailable in bypass mode. Surge 1,200 W comes from the page spec table only (manual lists no separate surge figure) — medium confidence on that field. The page spec table omits the 12 V cigarette-lighter output; the manual documents it (12.6V⎓10A, 126 W max) and was used. Dimensions recorded in the manual's W×D×H source order (234 × 232 × 146 mm). MPPT not mentioned officially — null.

Use cases
- Desk/router backup with a documented sub-10 ms standby UPS
- Camping with real AC headroom: 600 W continuous, 1,200 W X-Boost for resistive loads
- Fast-turnaround charging: 0–100% in an official 60 minutes
- Expandable compact kit: 286 Wh growing to 858 Wh wire-free
Strengths and weaknesses
Strengths
- Documented standby UPS with sub-10 ms transfer — rare below 300 Wh
- 600 W continuous doubles the compact-class norm
- Official 60-minute full recharge
- Wire-free expansion to 858 Wh
- 5-year warranty (vs 2 years on the base RIVER 3)
Weaknesses
- 286 Wh base capacity limits AC runtime
- Surge figure appears only on the product page, not the manual
- Single USB-C port
- Car charging cable sold separately
- MPPT not documented in official sources
