Overview
The Nomad 50 is Goal Zero's mid-size fabric-backed folding panel: four monocrystalline segments in a canvas envelope, rated 50 W at STC with Voc 21.5 V and Vmpp 18.0 V. Impp and Isc are not published on the current product page. It carries both the Goal Zero blue 8 mm solar output (14–21.5 V, up to 3.3 A / 50 W max) and a built-in USB-A port (5 V, 2.4 A / 12 W max), so it can charge phones and USB devices directly as well as feed a Goal Zero Yeti or Sherpa. It is chainable up to 150 W using additional 8 mm panels. At 6.85 lb (3.1 kg) with a 6 ft cable, it is the size Goal Zero pairs with the smaller Yeti 300 and Yeti 500. No charge controller is included, since it is intended to feed the controller inside a Yeti or Sherpa.
Variant note: Current Nomad 50 (SKU 11920). A separate Nomad 50 model with different output existed historically; this record is the current listing.
Data note: All figures taken from Goal Zero's published product specifications block on 2026-08-10 (SKU 11920, UPC 847974007679). Impp and Isc are null because the current page publishes only Voc and Vmpp for this model — a real gap in Goal Zero's spec disclosure rather than a lookup miss. cableLengthM converted from the published 6 ft (1.83 m). dimensions in mm converted from Goal Zero's published metric cm. Cell efficiency and ingress protection are null: no numeric figure and no IP rating stated.
Specifications
Rated power, cell type, form factor, connector and weight come from official manufacturer sources; the exact claims and links are in the provenance table. Electrical characteristics and cell efficiency are recorded only where a numeric figure is published, and compatibility with any particular power station is recorded only where the manufacturer states it. A connector type is not a compatibility claim.
