Power Queen 12V 100Ah Group 31 LiFePO4 Battery

12V (12.8 V nominal) 100 Ah LiFePO4 battery with 1,280 Wh stated energy, a 100 A BMS, 4,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge, IP65 and a Group 31 case. The manufacturer's own page contradicts itself on weight (22.05 lb in the spec table, 24.25 lb elsewhere), so both figures are recorded rather than one being chosen silently.

A battery is a component, not a power supply. Rated capacity is measured at a stated discharge rate and temperature (shown below where the manufacturer publishes it). Real usable energy is lower and depends on the depth of discharge you run the pack to, the load, the temperature and the inverter it feeds. This index publishes rated figures only and derives no single "real usable watt-hours" number. On its own a bare battery has no inverter, no charge controller and no AC outlet: it stores energy for a system you build around it, and its safe charge and discharge limits (in the specifications below) are part of that system design.

Overview

This is Power Queen's Group 31 12V 100Ah lithium iron phosphate battery, the plain Classic model without Bluetooth, low-temperature protection or self-heating. It is rated 100 Ah and 1,280 Wh at a 12.8 V nominal, with a 100 A battery management system holding continuous charge and discharge to 100 A each and a recommended charge current of 20 A. Cycle life is published as a full curve: 4,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge, 6,000 at 80% and 15,000 at 60%. It charges between 0 C and 50 C and discharges between -20 C and 60 C, and because this model has neither low-temperature protection nor a heating element it should not be charged below freezing. It is IP65 rated with M8 terminals and expands to 4S4P, with a 5-year warranty. One caution about this record: Power Queen's own product page publishes two different weights and two different heights, and this index records the specification-table values while preserving the conflict rather than resolving it.

Variant note: Group 31 'Classic' 12V 100Ah (SKU P12V100-100-Basic-4-A100). Power Queen sells at least eight near-identical 12V 100Ah SKUs: Group 31 Classic (this one), Group 24 Classic, Group 24 Premium, Group 24 Smart, Mini, Low-Temp, Low-Temp Smart and Self-Heating. The self-heating sibling shares an identical spec table except that its charge temperature range starts at -20 C rather than 0 C, so the charge window is the discriminator. Note also that Power Queen, WEIZE and LiTime appear to share an OEM platform: Power Queen's SKU pattern mirrors LiTime's exactly (P12V100-100-Basic-4-A100 against L12V100-100-Basic-4-A100) and all three publish the same cycle-life ladder, the same 1,280 Wh energy and the same 4S4P expansion, so they are not independent engineering.

Data note: Figures taken from Power Queen's published Specs block on ipowerqueen.com on 2026-08-15 (SKU P12V100-100-Basic-4-A100). The official US site is ipowerqueen.com, not powerqueenbattery.com. CONFIDENCE IS MEDIUM RATHER THAN HIGH BECAUSE A REQUIRED FIELD IS CONTESTED ON THE MANUFACTURER'S OWN PAGE. Weight: the structured Specs table states 'Weight Approx.: 22.05 lbs' (exactly 10.0 kg) while the description bullet, the FAQ and a dimension infographic all state 24.25 lbs (exactly 11.0 kg). Both figures are round in metric, which suggests a genuine cell or case revision where the Specs block was updated and older copy was not. The Specs-table value is recorded because spec tables outrank marketing copy under this index's sourcing policy, and the conflict is preserved here rather than resolved silently. Height has the same problem: Specs says 13 x 6.77 x 8.5 in (recorded, converted to 330.2 x 172.0 x 215.9 mm), the description says H8.43 in and the infographic says 8.84 in. peakDischargeA and peakDischargeDurationS are BOTH null: the only surge claim is an FAQ sentence reading 'a maximum continuous discharge of 100Ah and a maximum discharge of 280Ah for 5 seconds', which states amp-hours where amperes belong in both halves and does not appear in the Specs table at all. It has a duration, but recording 280 A would mean silently correcting the manufacturer's unit, so it is left unrecorded. lowTempChargingCutoff and selfHeating are recorded false as PUBLISHED NEGATIVES: the Specs table marks not-equipped rows with a slash, and the Low-Temperature Protection and all three self-heating rows print a slash on this model. bluetoothMonitoring is null rather than false, because unlike those rows Bluetooth has no row at all, so there is no published negative to rely on. usableDoDPercent is null: 100% DoD appears only as a cycle-life test condition.

Specifications

Chemistry, nominal voltage, rated capacity and weight come from official manufacturer sources; the exact claims and links are in the provenance table. Peak (surge) discharge is always shown with the seconds it is rated for and is never presented as the continuous rating, and any cycle-life figure is shown with the depth of discharge it is quoted at. Figures the manufacturer does not publish are left blank rather than estimated.

Use cases

  • RV, marine or off-grid house battery in a Group 31 tray
  • Budget-oriented lithium replacement for a lead-acid bank where Bluetooth and cold-weather charging are not needed
  • Building a 12 V, 24 V or 48 V bank by wiring up to four in series and four in parallel

Strengths and weaknesses

Strengths

  • Publishes rated energy directly (1,280 Wh) and a full cycle-life curve across three depths of discharge
  • Not-equipped features are published as explicit negatives rather than left silent
  • IP65, Group 31 drop-in case, M8 terminals and a 5-year warranty
  • Recommended charge current published (20 A), which several competitors omit

Weaknesses

  • The manufacturer's own page contradicts itself on weight and height, so those figures are less certain than the rest of the record
  • No usable surge rating can be published: the only peak figure Power Queen gives is stated in the wrong unit (amp-hours where amps belong) and is absent from the specification table
  • No self-heating and no low-temperature protection on this model, so it cannot be charged below 0 C
  • No terminal torque specification published, and no C-rate or cut-off basis for the 100 Ah rating
  • No charge controller or inverter included: it is a storage component, not a power supply
